Taking a Knee on NFL Sponsors

St. Louis, Baltimore, and Detroit had the highest homicide rates of all major American cities last year. Six months into 2017, it looks likely that they will maintain the dubious distinction.  They are joined on this list by Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Los Angeles and New York who lead in sheer numbers if not percentages.
What happens in these cities does not reflect the country as a whole.  Since 1990 the murder rate in the country has steadily dropped, but in certain cities and certain neighborhoods within those cities, the number of people murdering other people is rising exponentially.  According to the Brennan Center, a left-leaning think tank, the murder rate rose 14% in our 30 largest cities in 2015.  This trend continues.
Ninety percent of all Blacks in this country are killed by other Blacks.  On the other side of the coin, about 85% of all Whites (which includes Hispanics) are killed by other Whites.  During this bloody mayhem what has the NFL done to demonstrate their angst and deeply felt concern?  Have they gone to the neighborhoods and told the drug dealers and gang bangers to stop their death marches?  Have they gone to the street corners, knock on the doors and told people to turn in the criminals?  Have they called out the gang leaders by name?
No, of course they haven’t.  That would be dangerous.  These athletes are not into danger.  They live padded, comfortable, easy lives, depending on the size and skills they were given by an accident of birth to make millions of dollars.  They know they are the darlings of the media.  They have been told they were special from the time they entered little league.  Now, they have decided that a grossly unpopular President is a soft, safe target for them.  They know they get a pass on being rude and crude to this President because nobody likes him.  The NFL, the media and the left are a garden of cowards.  They won’t do a damn thing about the numbers of people killed by Blacks, drug dealers and gang lords.  They might get hurt. But they will be disrespectful to this country because they know they can with immunity.  They will be defended, even encouraged, by the people who secretly hate this country, openly hate this President and probably hate themselves for being such pusillanimous tools of anarchy.
Bottom of Form
I will be the first to say that the pusillanimous cowards of the NFL do have the right to not acknowledge the flag of the nation which protects them.  I will even defend their right to do so.  But that does not absolve them from my right to treat and judge them according to their actions.  I do not have to watch them in their misbehavior.  I certainly do not have to financially enrich them.  So, this is what I am doing.  The following is a list of the main line sponsors of the NFL.  I am sending an email message to the corporate headquarters of each of these:
Pepsi Co.; Visa; Campbell’s Soup; FedEx; Frito-Lay; Mars; Dairy Management Inc.; Bridgestone; Proctor & Gamble; Verizon; Barclays; Papa Johns; Castrol; Anheuser-Busch; USAA; Bose; Marriott; Microsoft; Lenovo; McDonalds; Dannon; Hyundai; Nationwide Insurance; Extreme Networks; Zebra Technologies
This is the message:
“I respect the right of the NFL players to not honor the flag and anthem of the United State of America.  I also respect my right to withhold my financial endorsement of such behavior.  Therefore, for the remainder of this season, I am ‘taking a knee’ on the purchase of your product as my own form of protest.  Isn’t it wonderful that you, I and the players all have this freedom of action in this brave land?”
I do use the products of many of these companies and it will be a burden for me not to patronize them, but, it is the least I can do.
Take a knee on football and keep the faith.
