Colin Kaepernick and the Pusillanimous Divas that Support Him

Since professional football is heating up with its predictable "protest" drama, I thought I would shed a little light (complete with numbers from the justice department) on what these divas are not talking about.  This is a repeat of a column I wrote when Kaepernick first reared his cowardly head.
When asked why he decided to remain seated for the national anthem, San Francisco’s resident baby said "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.  To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."
Well, he certainly isn’t wrong about that.  While I could go to Chicago for a set of crime statistics that would drop your teeth, I thought I would, instead, go to Kaepernick’s birthplace, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Let’s take a look at the people getting away with murder in Kaepernick’s home town.
For the last decade Milwaukee’s murders have been around 15 per 100,000 population, which is 3 times the national average for that same period.  Numbers for rape, burglary and assault are even worse.
While all of this mayhem (to which, by the way, Little Colin, seems blithely oblivious) is going on, Milwaukee’s conviction rate for murder has fallen to about 40%, half that of other major cities.  Milwaukee also exceeds by a full 30% the number of full time police officers in Wisconsin as a whole.  That means that the working variable has to be in the numbers of criminals.
Now let us return to Little Colin.  First, let me emphasize that I agree with Evelyn Beatrice Hall when she said “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”  [I know that many people think that is a quote from Voltaire, but she was actually writing about Voltaire when she penned these words, all on her own.]  This means that Little Colin has a right to be a misinformed, simplistic, spoiled brat.  However, that does not mean that I have to treat him as if he is right, laudable or even mature.  It certainly does not mean that I have to act (as do the lick-spittle’s on ESPN and many of the like-minded lathered left) as if he is doing something courageous when he is really a coward.
If this twit had any real weight in his testicular sac he wouldn’t take a knee surrounded by people who also think America-bashing is an au currant lark, he would go to Milwaukee’s worst neighborhoods, get up on every street corner and tell the people there to stop killing one another!  Stop choosing gang membership as a career path…stop glorifying drug lords, thugs, and gang members…stop taking a casual attitude toward school attendance…stop using welfare (in all its forms) as an income choice…stop using drugs, give up your guns and get a job—any job—even if it is a volunteer job…commit yourself to getting up early in the morning, cleaning up, and doing something useful with your life!
Colin, you are an emperor with no clothes.  If you want to better this world go to where people really are getting away with murder and tell them to stop.  Of course, I know you won’t.  Why?  Because you have had plenty of chances to do just that; and you have chosen not to.  Again, why?  Because you don’t have the guts.  You know that the same people who love you for choosing cheap and easy targets for your pseudo-civil disobedience will hate you for taking on the real murderers.  You are a coward.
Colin Kaepernick does not keep any faith.
