Note to Lois Lerner and John Koskinen, "Nobody Believes You!!!"

I am currently reading The White Queen by Philippa Gregory.  It is a fictionalized history of the 15th century’s Wars of the Roses in England.  It is part of a series of books dealing with the bloody, tumultuous period when the House of York fought the House of Lancaster for the English throne.

Representative of the moral depravity of those times is what happened to the two sons of King Edward IV.  His oldest son, Edward, should have been crowned king upon his father’s untimely death.  Instead the dead king’s brother assumed the throne, had young Edward and his brother locked in the Tower of London.  They were later killed.  The bodies of the two boys (12 and 9 years old) were never recovered.  Nor do we know exactly who ordered the children’s murder.  These nebulous gaps in the chronology of the times have led to all sorts of tales about a possible survival of the boys.  All of these tales really boil down to just one thing: no one wants to accept the cruelty of two innocent children being slaughtered for a corrupt official’s ambition.  It is too ugly a thought.

We see the same hesitance to accept reality in the stories surrounding Tsar Nicholas the II of Russia and his youngest daughter, Anastasia.  On July 17, 1918 a group of communist revolutionaries proved what brave men they were by shooting the unarmed, imprisoned Tsar, and then bayoneting his wife, daughters and sickly son.  Their bodies were dumped down a well and covered in lime.  Anastasia, the youngest of the Tsar’s daughters, died with the rest of her family, but there are lots of stories that say she survived.

Normal people are slow to accept man’s inhumanity to man.  We want to believe the little princes in the Tower were spared.  We want to believe that Anastasia lived.  We want the Titanic to reach shore.  Hell, I want Frank Sinatra to finally make that train at the end of Von Ryan’s Express.  It doesn’t happen.

There are facts which are so patently obvious that we don’t need empirical evidence to support them.  I don’t need to see proof that there is no Easter Bunny.  The princes were murdered in the Tower; Anastasia was murdered by Russian revolutionaries, and Lois Lerner’s emails were destroyed to prevent proof of systematic, White House driven, discrimination and political manipulation by the I.R.S.

We don't need to see Lois Lerner’s e-mails.  We know what the contents are.  Lerner, John Koskinen, and the whole team of Obama apostates are intent on protecting the President’s reputation and his handlers’ drive for control.  They are rabid in their efforts.  There is no zealot more impassioned that one who knows he is backing a loser.  These ideologues thought Obama was going to be the 21st century’s FDR.  Instead, they have come to realize he is the 21st century’s Millard Fillmore.  They have no choice but to go into attack mode.

They are also so contemptuous of the public that they think we don't have the guts to call them on this prevarication.  When Rep. Kevin Brady named this I.R.S. as the most corrupt and deceitful in history he was correct.  When Rep. Paul Ryan said, “We don’t believe you….Nobody believes you!” he had an Edward R. Murrow moment.  He stated both the truth and the obvious.  Hopefully, like Murrow’s calling out of Joe McCarthy, this will shame the rest of the lick spittle media into something approaching legitimate journalism.

Hold their feet to the fire and keep the faith.
